The Book Sale is the primary source of operating funds for the Friends. This all-volunteer committee works year round to prepare for book sales. For more information about the Book Sale or being a Book Sale volunteer, contact Walter King email@example.com 972-235-7843
Walter King - Committee Chair
Walter is a retired elementary school teacher who joined the FOL Basement Crew (his nickname for the year round volunteers) in 2010. He is an avid reader and has an excellent collection of signed Elmer Kelton novels. In between book sale work, road trips, and spoiling the grandkids, Walter can be found at the Richardson YMCA, where he has been active since 1980.
Kay King - Committee member and FOL Board member
Kay has served as secretary and vice-president of the board. She has been a constant reader since forever. Of course, her favorite activity is planning the next travel adventure. Kay's greatest responsibility in the basement work area is keeping Walter in line. A full time task, indeed!
Sandy Martin - Committee member and FOL Board member
Sandy has served on the board as secretary and as president. Professionally, she has a background in Purchasing and Supply Management. Sandy is the senior member of since 2009.
Sandy is involved in Altrusa of Richardson and now has the added responsibility of caring for Bill, her newly retired husband.
Clarence Lewis - Committee member
Clarence proudly claims "Dee Troit, Michigan" as his boyhood home. He is an engineer who specialized in intergrated circuitry (whatever that means) and is the basement crew's resident trivia expert. Clarence also provides us with that extra muscle needed to get our storage area stacked six boxes high.
Jerry Adamic - Committee member
Jerry hails from Cleveland, "on the Great North coast of the United States." Jerry was lured onto the team after helping on the day after clean up. He is the newest member of the basement crew and is our super sorter. He is also our source of information on matters pertaining to comic books.
